All classes include Veterans and Specials which will run either before or after their class
Trial Surface is grass. Trial will run rain or shine.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Entries
There shall be NO REFUNDS for entries withdrawn after the closing or if the dog or handler is dismissed from competition, regardless of
the reason. After the closing date, no refunds will be given for acts of God, missed runs or dogs absent the day of the trial. Refunds will be
given to a competitor whose bitch comes into season or whose dog is injured, provided the trial secretary is informed prior to the trial date
and a certificate from a Veterinarian is provided. Any handler who is found to abuse a dog will be disqualified and reported to the AAC.
This trial is open to all dogs being at least 18 months of age, including purebred and non-purebred, except bitches in season, dogs suffering
from any deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance, or dogs exhibiting signs of aggression
towards people or other dogs. Move-ups will be allowed before the move-up date of May 18. Same day move-ups will be accepted.
Notice to Competitors
This trial is being held under the Agility Association of Canada (AAC) Rules and Regulations. Exhibitors, through submission of entry,
acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of these rules and regulations. The trial’s organizing committee reserves the right to refuse any
entry. We reserve the right to change the running order or start times at any time. If there is a time restriction, we reserve the right to
run 2 rings at the same time. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is NOT permitted. Cigarette butts MUST be disposed of safely and
NOT dropped on the ground. You must clean up after your dog. Anyone not abiding by these rules will be asked to leave, and refused
future entry. All competitors participate in the events at their own risk. The General Agreement on the back of the entry must be signed in
order to comply with AAC’s sanctioning. There will be no food available on site. There will be a pot luck lunch available. Please
indicate on the entry form if you would like to join us.
Agility Obstacles
Obstacles will be selected from the list of AAC approved obstacles. There will not be an official familiarization of the equipment.
However, as required by AAC, one jump will be set up outside of each ring.
Measuring of Dogs
All competing dogs must be registered with AAC and have a valid Dog Identification Card in order to compete. Dogs cannot compete if
they have not been issued an ID card. An application for an ID card can be downloaded from www.aac.ca. Dogs under two years of age
or anyone that has forgotten their ID card must be measured.
Prizes and Awards
All ribbons will be awarded 1st to 4th in the Mini (10" & 16") and Open (22" & 26") divisions. A flat qualifying ribbon will be awarded to
all dogs that achieve a qualifying round in any class. TITLE RIBBONS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
Start Times (tentative)
Registration until noon. Measurement: 7:45 a.m. General Briefing: 8:15 a.m. First Dog on the Line: 8:30 a.m.
Class Descriptions:
AAC Starters Class: The Starters class shall be for dogs not having earned the Agility Dog of Canada (ADC) title. A dog must achieve 3
clear Starter rounds under 2 different Judges to be awarded the ADC title.
AAC Advanced Class: The Advanced class shall be for dogs having earned the Agility Dog of Canada (ADC) title, but that have not
earned the Advanced Agility Dog of Canada (AADC). A dog must achieve 3 clear rounds under 2 different judges to be awarded the
AADC title.
AAC Masters Class: The Masters Class shall be for dogs having earned the Advanced Agility Dog of Canada (AADC) title. To be
awarded the Master Agility Dog of Canada (MADC) title by the AAC, a dog must achieve 3 clear rounds under 2 different judges to be
awarded the MADC title.
AAC Veteran Class: Veteran class is for dogs 7 years of age and older or dogs 5 years of age and older who have been competing in the
Special Agility Class for a minimum of 1 year.
AAC Special Class: is open to all dogs. A dog entered in Special Classes may move to the Veteran Classes. A dog may no longer compete
in the Starter, Advanced and Masters titling classes once entered at an official trial in any of the Veterans and Specials agility classes. Dogs
moving into Veterans and Specials from regular classes take their titles with them (i.e. they move laterally).
Steeplechase: is a class offered at one level, but open to all dogs, (Starters, Advanced and Masters compete together). It is a fast moving
course consisting of jumps, tire, tunnel, weave poles and A-frame. 10 qualifying runs earn a Masters Steeplechase Dog of Canada title.
Games: Classes are now offered: Starters, Advanced and Masters. Progression from one level to the next is as follows: * Movement into
Advanced Games from Starters level games requires 2 qualifying scores, under 2 different judges, in the Starters game. The Starters
Games Dog of Canada title require 2 Q’s in each of the 3 games at the Starters level.* Movement into Masters games from Advanced level
games requires 3 qualifying scores, under 2 different judges, in the Advanced game. Masters requires 4 qualifying scores, under 2 different
judges, in each of the 3 games, Gamblers, Snooker and Jumpers. Further information can be found at: www.aac.ca
EXHIBITORS ARE EXPECTED TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR DOGS. IF NOT ABIDING BY THE HOUSE RULES
FUTURE ENTRIES WILL BE REFUSED TO ANY OTHER MEGAMUTTS TRIALS.
ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES, except while in the ring or at the practice jumps.
