Heading To California? How About Some Surfing Lessons For Your Water Loving Dog!

Heading to California to do some cruising along the coast? Sign your water-loving dog up for surfing lessons!

The Loews Coronado resort in California (near San Diego) has partnered with the Coronado Surfing Academy to offer ‘Su’ruff Camp‘ where your dog can learn how to surf on the local (dog) beach.

Your pooch will also get a delicious Surf’ n’ Turf supper, a surfing for canines guidebook, accommodation at the hotel, and his very own pair of surfing shorts or bandana. This exciting surfing dog package starts at $400.

If your dog is competitive and you’ll be in the area late June, check out their 4th annual Surfing competition. Your pooch can get a few lessons and then compete for ‘best surfer pooch’. This event is getting pretty big, last year’s contest drew in over 2,000 spectators.
