Fall Meet and Greet/Training day Information:

After last years Ontario Federation of Sleddog Sports Symposium held in North Bay Ontario, which turned out to be a huge success we decided to bring Lance back so that everyone else could have the same opportunity as we did to get to know the man himself better. That is why this year he will be coming back to Bonfield, Ontario.

4 time Yukon Quest and 3 time Iditarod winner Lance Mackey along with his lovely wife Tonya will be coming back to Bonfield, Ontario this September 19-20th. Lance will share his experiences of 2009's Iditarod along with all his past adventures. The event will be held at the Bonfield Agridome, Trunk Rd, Bonfield.

This event is going to be a lot more of a relaxed forum from a regular type of Symposium, to provide more one on one with Lance. Once Lance speaks and goes through Q&A the majority of the day will allow people to talk with Lance and other musher's who are involved in the same aspect of sledding as them for more information to be passed on. That will give more of an opportunity to talk with Lance, get his autograph and pictures taken as well.

Lunch will be provided on Saturday.

Vendors will be on hand all day to provide new equipment and showcase any new items. There will be door prize gifts as well. Working on some good stuff right now.
Just a few so far will be donation from Aurora Booties, Raven's Watch, Paws-e-Trax, Sled dog Central and the list is growing.

On the Sunday anyone who is interested can bring their dog/dogs with their dry-land vehicle of choice and run on logging road/bush trails. Lance will be there as well to answer any questions you may have. This day will be a pot luck, BYO Beverage event with an extremely relaxed feel.

The price per person will be $70.00 each. Any profit from beverage sales and door prize tickets is going to be donated to a Kearney dog sled race to add to the purse.

Lance will be bring posters and pictures for you to have them signed, as well as some coins with him on them for a fee starting at $24.95 US for bronze. He will have some silver and gold with him.
