I Walk for Dog Guides (Downtown Toronto)
On May 30th, PawsWay will be holding its 2nd annual Purina Walk for Dog Guides event. This will be one of 200 walks that take place around Canada to raise money to place incredible dogs with incredible people.
Dog Guides are provided at no cost to people who are blind or visually impaired, who have hearing difficulties, who live with frequent seizures due to epilepsy, and people who have physical or medical disabilities.
The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is the largest guide dog organization in Canada. The Purina Walk For Dog Guides is their biggest fundraiser. With no government funding, donations and fundraisers are very important.
The Harbourfront walk is challenging breed groups in the GTA to join our Paw Challenge. We are encouraging breed groups and/or individuals with specific breed types to sign up for the Purina Walk for Dog Guides Harbourfront Walk. Prizes will be given to the breed group that has the most people with their dogs present and the breed that raises the most money for the Harbourfront walk.
We look forward to your involvement in our Paw Challenge and the 2010 Purina Walk for Dog Guides.
If you are up to the challenge, please email harbourfrontwalk@gmail.com to enter your breed and start recruiting walkers.
Thank you!
The Harbourfront Organization Committee
