Skijoring And Dog Scootering Courses Available
Evening Classes
Classes for the Level I Skijoring, Sledding and Dog Scootering will be starting September 8th, this is a Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Ferguson Forest in Kemptville.
This is an outside course.
This is a one hour class for 4 weeks.
Note: The Level I class teaches the dogs the commands. This is followed by a level II class during the winter when we have snow for the skijoring and sledding. ( except for the dog scootering which is done in the fall)
Weekend Classes
There will be a week-end Level One Skijoring, Sledding and Dog Scootering course on Sept 5& 6th and Sept 19th and 20th.
This class will be for 2 hours on the Sat and 2 hours on the Sunday.
Starting at 11 a.m ...there will be a half hour lunch break at noon.
Location: Ferguson Forest.
The cost for this course is $85.00 this includes the dog harness (the Skijoring belt and the tug line are sold separately, I do sell this equipment).

Courses for the younger dogs
This course is to teach the younger dogs( 8 months to 1 year) that are too young to do dog scootering or skijoring
This course will help to socialize your dog to people, dogs and going to new areas.
We do teach the dogs how to go " on by" people, kids, other dogs, critters,
snowmobiles etc that they will meet when you are doing
carnicross or when they are older,skijoring and dog scootering.
The dogs will learn to be comfortable in the woods,
when meeting people in the woods, other dogs in the woods,
going to new places and being with other dogs.
The dogs should know how to walk/run (carnicross)
with the skijoring equipment on.
This is an outside course.
