Dave Munnings Seminar April 2010
Positive Pups
Is proud to bring back
Dave Munnings
to
Tamsu Learning Center
Wednesday April 28 – Monday May 4, 2010
Some General Rules
Opening date for entry into any of these clinics is – Monday, January 18, 2010 – any entries received before this date will be returned to you, and you may mail it in again. This gives everyone an equal opportunity to get working spots. There are several clinics to join into and I anticipate everyone can find time to work with Dave.
Email confirmations will be sent out upon the receipt of your entry - please read and fill out the entry form appropriately, in previous dates several cheques have been received that do not amount to the clinics checked off which creates confusion.
In order to participate in any of the working sessions, excluding contacts, you must enter and attend the Wednesday night talk (if you did not attend it in October 2009). Any person who fails to show up on the Wednesday night will forfeit their paid position in the seminar and it will be offered to the first in line on the wait list.
Ø This handling clinic will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so please come prepared. There is possibility that the ring you will be working in will not be fenced in.
Ø A light lunch will be included for everyone on Saturday and Sunday as well as human water, coffee and tea.
Ø Multiple dogs will not be able to work in a “given” training session.
Ø Tamsu is on a well, running water is not available; please come prepared.
Ø Please arrive no earlier than 1/2 hour prior to the start of the day.
Ø Private Lessons – are limited to one per person, unless the spots do not fill. The viewing of someone’s private lesson is on the grounds of permission from the paying student. Please respect arriving and exiting in a timely fashion. A separate cheque will be needed for these.
Ø VIDEO CAMERAS – the use of video cameras are allowed but only for your personal attention. You may not video/publish someone else’s work.
Ø Advanced/Master Working Days (weekend clinic)……it is mandatory to attend both sessions in the one day. Understanding the evolution of handling is best from the ground up and grasping the full concept is part of the understanding. If you only come for “your” time slot, you have most likely missed out on the understanding of a concept. When you sign up for a working spot you will work half the day, BUT you need to attend the full day in order to appreciate the big picture.
Ø There is no on-site camping– There are several campgrounds in the area, there are a couple local motels that accept dogs. A list can be provided at one’s request.
