Snifferdog detection style training for noses of ALL  DOGS
 
Using the dog's instinct to hunt ,handlers learn to increase the dog's drive and teach the dog to FIND to a novel scent (ie sweet birch) and the dog is rewarded for showing a trained "ALERT"
the sheltie pictured is doing an Area Search , the Target (Orange clip) hidden in the tree , has been located & the dog shows a "SIT-Alert) this dog sport is for any dog  or handler.
